Tasteful: Healthy Food Finder App

By Nikita Boyer

Never again will you need to Google “paleo restaurants Phoenix” or “vegan Scottsdale.” With the Tasteful app, you can easily find healthy food that fits your diet. Tasteful is a free app available on both iOS and Android that searches for and reviews restaurants, allowing you to filter the results based on diet, meal type, and location. The makers of Tasteful value Real Food, which they define as food that is organic, non-GMO, local, seasonal, minimally processed, or otherwise responsibly sourced and cooked.

How do you use it?
Tasteful is wonderfully simple to use. Just tell Tasteful where you are, specify an eating style (gluten-free, vegetarian, etc.), and pick a meal type (lunch, dinner, snack).

Maps
Tasteful will then display a map with all of the restaurants that fit your criteria are highlighted. Different color flags represent different Real Food ratings, with yellow being “ok,” light green being “good,” and dark green being “great.”

Restaurants
Each restaurant has its own page within the app where price ratings, hours, locations, and menu items that fit your eating style can be found. The app even helps you make reservations. You can “flag” or “like” individual menu items or the restaurant as a whole, and you can share the place on social media.

Dishes
Along with the map of restaurants near you, Tasteful gives you a list of dishes being served in your area that fit your diet. This is a nice feature for those who are adventurous or want to try something new.

Tasteful also offers great articles and tips for whichever eating style you prefer. So, whether you’re paleo, gluten-free, vegan, or another kind of healthy eater, you can count on Tasteful to help you find delicious meals cooked with quality ingredients near you.
