MQ Corporation Develops Solar Liquid Power

By Stephanie Bray

It looks like there might be new solar technology in the future! In April 2016, MQ Corporation released an executive summary for its Solar Liquid Power (SLP), a more affordable and versatile type of renewable solar power.

What is Solar Liquid Power?

SLP is a two-part liquid technical coating, assembled at a nanotechnology level, that generates electricity from sunlight. Compared to traditional solar panels, SLP represents more than a 200 percent output increase. This means products such as glass, fabrics, roofing materials, etc. can generate its own renewable electricity.

SLP is classified as a nanosome lipid colloid, a liquid coating that turns into a solid after drying. It is applied to materials as a spray-on or infused within various OEM (Original Equipment Manufacturer) materials. SLP is not a manufactured microelectronic cell structure; it is a molecular based coating that is considered to offer a better solar energy solution than anything else on the market.

SLP’s properties are similar to latex paint. It is used with a liquid lipid diode (LLD), which is used as a primer base coat. Then, a topcoat of SLP is sprayed on. This generates charged electron particles when exposed to light, and the particles are captured and transmitted by the LLD base coat.

Once the two layers have dried and bonded, a solar power matrix is formed that can collect light from over 360 degrees.

MQ cites that SLP has the ability to absorb more light and for a longer duration than traditional solar panels. This means more power over the daylight span. SLP will also last for 15 years before a re-coat is necessary.

The company hopes to begin delivering high level large-scale orders of the product by late 2017 and early 2018.

  1. Hi,

I am at present building a house at the coast in South Africa and intend importing solar roof tiles from Germany. Your product seems very interesting and I would be interested in interfacing with you to test it here. I am a Building services Engineer and Entrepreneur.
