Kids love school holidays and breaks, but time off from school can be very stressful for parents. Daycare is expensive, and often not available for school-aged children. Relatives might be able to help watch the kids once in a while, but most of them have jobs and responsibilities of their own. Many parents have to leave their kids alone at home while they go out and work. No parent really wants to leave their kid unsupervised in front of a television all day. Arizona Science Center has come up with a solution to this dilemma. On many school holidays and breaks, Arizona Science Center runs a day camp called Camp Innovation. Here is a blurb from the Arizona Science Center’s Camp Innovation webpage:

“When School’s Out, Camp Innovation is in! Arizona Science Center’s CAMP INNOVATION will inspire and engage curious minds about STEM (Science, Technology, Engineering, Mathematics) learning. Camps vary throughout the year and will include Science of Magic, Citizen Science and Ice Age! Join us in this Spring as we explore modern technology and how it has been inspired by popular culture!”

This Monday, Presidents Day, bring your children to Camp Innovation at the Arizona Science Center for “Sustainable You” Day Camp. Campers will have the opportunity to explore the ideas behind sustainability and conservation, and will be able to experiment with recycling and alternative energies through fun learning activities. Children will be separated into two age groups, 6-8 and 9-12, so make sure to register them in the correct section. Arizona Science Center offers before and after care, starting at 7:30 a.m. and ending at 6 p.m.
